A year after Rocket Fuel: Lisan’s growth story
Discover how Rocket Fuel winner Lisan grew to $2.6 million ARR, secured government customers and scaled Arabic enterprise AI one year after LEAP 2025.
When Daleela won the Tech for Humanity Award at Rocket Fuel 2025, the company's mission was to make trusted, culturally relevant healthcare more accessible for women across the Arab world.
And just over a year later, that mission has expanded significantly.
Since that Rocket Fuel win, Daleela has conducted more than 8,000 consultations, now averaging more than 1,100 each month. The platform has also grown to more than 400,000 registered users. Yousef ElSammaa (Founder of Daleela) told us:
"We now have over 400,000 registered users, with more than 25% coming from the GCC. This growth demonstrates that we are addressing a regional gap rather than just a local one."
As the platform has grown, so has its scope.
Originally focused on women's health through gynaecology, Daleela has expanded its services to include dermatology and nutrition, helping users access more holistic care through a single platform.
To support that expansion, the company has partnered with organisations including Novo Nordisk, Molped, Parkville and Pharco. Together, these partnerships support care across a range of health needs – including birth control, acne, hair loss and obesity management.
The past year also marked an important evolution for the company with its transition from Motherbeing to Daleela. ElSammaa explained:
"The name 'Daleela' means 'guide,' and it was chosen to reflect our mission to guide all women. It is also much easier to pronounce in Arabic, aligning with our regional ambitions."
The rebrand was more than just a new name. It communicated the company's ambition to build a platform designed for women across the region.
Winning the Tech for Humanity Award at Rocket Fuel 2025 became an important milestone in Daleela's growth journey.
"Winning the Tech for Humanity Award at Rocket Fuel 2025 provided a significant boost. It helped position us effectively within the region, particularly in the GCC, and strengthened our standing with investors."
And that recognition was followed by another milestone:
"We have received an investment from 500 Startups Sanabil this year, and closed a new round with other regional VCs. Definitely the impact from winning LEAP was a major validation for them and our potential in the Saudi market.”
For startups tackling meaningful regional challenges, recognition can do more than raise visibility. It can strengthen credibility with investors, partners and customers alike.
One year after Rocket Fuel, Daleela has expanded from a single-specialty platform into a regional women's health service with more than 400,000 users, 8,000 consultations completed over the past year and new investment to support its next stage of growth.
